Hey there, I’m Sydney!
Born and raised in Las Vegas, I’m a twenty-something travel enthusiast studying Japanese in order to become a translator. I spent one year living in Japan and hope to return for a few more years. I love sushi, books, and photography. I’m also interested in fashion and music!
This blog is a way for me to write about life as it begins in these early years of my twenties. 💜
About this Blog
The name comes from the word komorebi in Japanese, which means “sunlight filtering through the trees.” I slightly adjusted the English version, but the meaning remains the same to me — I’m looking for a little komorebi in my life. 🌿
I started this blog in January 2019 after I realized my return to the States was more jarring and mentally affecting than I’d originally bargained for. I decided it would be a good idea to start writing my journey down, and thus this blog was born. It’s powered by WordPress and Of Blue.
